Unilever's Shelly Kohli to join United Breweries

Shelly Kohli has quit Unilever where she was the Head Legal Counsel for the Beauty & Personal care and Homecare division. Shelly will be joining United Breweries Ltd. (UBL) to lead its legal and compliance vertical.

At UBL, Shelly will be responsible for all corporate compliance and legal issues. She will be based at the company's headquarter in Bengaluru.

Shelly started her career at ARA Law. She has also worked with law firms such as Crawford Bailey & Co., Trilegal and Wadia Ghandy & Co. She has also worked with GE (Energy Management) as Senior Counsel for legal and compliance (South Asia) where she led the legal and compliance team for GE's energy management businesses. Then she moved to Levi Strauss & Co. where she was the Assistant General Counsel in charge of South Asia, Middle East and North Africa regions. In 2019, she joined Unilever to head the personal care and home care legal teams.

She is an alumnus of the New York University of Law and the University of Mumbai from the 2003 and 1999 batches respectively.
