Jones Day has expanded its Financial Markets Practice with the addition of José Luis Pita da Veiga Subirats as a Partner in its Madrid office. He is joined by Borja Carpintero García-Arias as Of Counsel, and Marina Zarza Santamaria and Nicolás Aragonés Escrivá de Romani as Associates.
Pita da Veiga focuses on advising financial institutions, debt and venture capital funds, sponsors, and issuers on a broad range of business financing transactions, including acquisition finance, restructuring, and refinancing in bankruptcy and pre-bankruptcy contexts. He has significant experience handling multijurisdictional transactions.
Carpintero’s practice spans international and cross-border transactions, debt issues, securitizations, and structured finance across diverse asset classes, with deep expertise in repackaging and capital markets transactions.
