Jonathan Swil Joins King & Spalding as Partner in International Disputes Practice in London
King & Spalding announced today that Jonathan Swil has joined the firm’s International Disputes practice group as a partner, based in the firm’s London office.
Swil advises financial institutions, corporates, and professional services firms on a broad range of UK and cross-border disputes, with a particular emphasis on the financial services industry, insolvency, and other complex commercial litigation and investigations. He has played a key role in several high-profile cases, including the trial of one of the largest financial frauds in history and one of the most significant anti-suit injunction and arbitration claims in recent times.
Wade Coriell, co-leader of the firm’s International Disputes practice group, said, “Jonathan is a great fit for us, as his experience with high-end litigation and his background representing financial institutions taps into two of our firm’s key strengths and allows us to continue to build on them in London. The convergence of contentious financial services regulatory enforcement and litigation is a growing issue for many major financial institutions, and adding Jonathan further reinforces our ability to help clients navigate these challenges.”
Jonathan Swil joins King & Spalding from A&O Sherman, where he served as a partner, and previously led the London litigation practice at Shearman & Sterling. He received his undergraduate degree and LLB from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
