Paul Jones Joins Jones Day As Partner In London, Strengthening Energy Practice

Jones Day has expanded its Energy Practice with the appointment of Paul Jones as a Partner in its London office. With over 18 years of experience across the full energy value chain, Jones specializes in upstream oil and gas, LNG, and energy transition projects. His recent work includes leading acquisitions of North Sea upstream assets, advising on a £300 million fundraising for the UK’s first commercial-scale liquid air energy storage plant, and supporting the development of a green hydrogen and ammonia project in Oman.

Jones joins a global team of more than 120 lawyers in Jones Day’s Energy Practice, advising on M&A, project development, regulatory compliance, and energy transition matters. His arrival follows the recent additions of Sage Revell and Alex Chalk KC, former Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, in the firm’s Corporate and Global Disputes practices in London.
