Malaysia's JLPW Appoints Hui Wen Tan to Lead Dispute Resolution Practice

Malaysian law firm Jeff Leong, Poon & Wong (JLPW) has appointed Hui Wen Tan as a Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution. Tan joins from Skrine, where she served as a Senior Associate.

“Hui Wen’s addition marks a pivotal step in our firm’s dispute resolution practice evolution, underscoring our dedication to expanding this area of expertise to support our clients’ needs,”
a JLPW spokesperson said.

Tan
brings extensive experience representing private sector firms, Fortune 500 companies, government-linked entities, and state agencies in Malaysian courts and international arbitration. She is skilled in conducting trials and hearings in both English and Malay.

During her decade-long tenure at Skrine, Tan handled high-profile cases, including major infrastructure-related land acquisitions and appeals involving native customary rights. With Tan’s appointment, JLPW’s partnership now includes 10 partners, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in dispute resolution.
