Dino Wilkinson To Lead Middle East Data, Cyber, And Technology Practice At Baker McKenzie

Global law firm Baker McKenzie has appointed Dino Wilkinson as a Partner and Head of the Middle East Data, Cyber, and Technology practice, further enhancing the firm’s global expertise in these areas and reinforcing its growth in the region.

Wilkinson joins from Clyde & Co in Abu Dhabi, where he Led the Middle East Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) law practice and contributed to the development of the firm's international technology, data, and outsourcing practice. With over 12 years of experience, he has advised prominent corporate and government clients on technology contracting, regulatory issues, data protection compliance, and cybersecurity. He has also collaborated with regional governments on legislative initiatives, including drafting e-commerce laws, data-sharing regulations, and privacy legislation.

Steve Holmes, Co-chair of Baker McKenzie’s EMEA Intellectual Property, Data, and Technology practice group, stated, “Dino’s hire strengthens our data and technology offerings globally and regionally. His deep knowledge in data protection and technology-related legal issues will help support the digital transformation goals of our clients across the Middle East."

Wilkinson’s expertise spans technology-related contracts such as outsourcing, software development, and data processing agreements. He has worked on major regional and international projects, including mobile app launches, digital wallet schemes, and ICT infrastructure rollouts. Commenting on his new role, Wilkinson said, “I’m excited to join Baker McKenzie and lead the Middle East Data, Cyber, and Technology practice. His appointment follows a series of strategic hires across Baker McKenzie's Middle East and North Africa offices, including Sally Kotb, Adil Hussain, and Sahal Khalawi.

Wilkinson is admitted to practice in England and Wales.
