Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. has onboarded Sarika Raichur and Shruti Khanijow as partners in the General Corporate And Dispute Resolution – Litigation Practices respectively in Chennai.

On their appointment, Pallavi Shroff and Akshay Chudasama, the Managing Partners at the firm commented, “We believe that the addition of Raichur and Khanijow to our team will not only strengthen our presence in Chennai but also enhance our ability to provide comprehensive solutions to clients. Raichur has 18 years of experience, specializing in cross-border and domestic transactions and advisory, including M&A, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital, venture debt, divestitures, business transfers, asset sales, and fund structuring. She assists in setting up business and operations in India, shareholders’ and investment disputes and a wide range of general corporate, commercial, employment, and regulatory matters.

She has previously worked as a partner at Luthra and Luthra Law Offices and Kochhar & Co and served as a senior consultant at Noerr LLP.

On the other hand, Khanijow is a commercial disputes lawyer with focus on international disputes. She has represented private parties and state entities in the International Chamber of Commerce, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, the London Court of International Arbitration, and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and ad hoc arbitrations seated in India, MENA region, London, Paris, Singapore, and Geneva under different governing laws.

Regularly involved in complex high-stake engineering and construction disputes, she works to deliver successful outcomes for clients related to a range of sectors, including infrastructure and energy.

Khanijow advised and represented third-party funders in cross-border high-stake arbitrations and insolvency financing. She is empaneled as a specialist mediator with the Singapore International Mediation Centre and is a steering committee member of the Young International Arbitration & Mediation Centre, India.
