Sreenivasan Narayan SC Departs K&L Gates Straits Law To Establish Sreenivasan Chambers
Sreenivasan Narayan SC, a renowned litigator, has stepped down from his role as managing partner at K&L Gates Straits Law to establish his own dispute resolution and advisory firm in Singapore, named Sreenivasan Chambers.
The newly established firm, led by Narayan and joined by counsels Jason Lim, formerly a senior associate at K&L Gates Straits Law, and Sathya Narayanan, a former counsel at PDLegal, will focus on complex civil and commercial litigation, white-collar defense, and a range of corporate issues from regulatory compliance to corporate governance.
In a statement, the firm expressed its commitment to providing tailored solutions to clients, leveraging years of expertise to address both legal and practical aspects of each case. “We aim to bring to clients a bespoke solution to their matters through our experience honed over many years of practice. With one eye on the law and the other on the unique practical considerations to every problem, we strive to uphold the highest standards of service to our clients,” the firm noted.
Sreenivasan Chambers plans to grow steadily and strategically “The idea is not to grow too big, but to have a team that is fast, responsive and smart; and always practical and always keenly aware of client needs and realistic expectations,” Sreenivasan stated
With 38 years of experience, Sreenivasan previously served as the managing partner of Straits Law before its 2019 merger with U.S. firm K&L Gates, forming K&L Gates Straits Law. After leading the firm for five years, he chose to step away from management to concentrate on his legal practice. “I felt it was time to relinquish the management responsibilities and refocus on my legal expertise,” Sreenivasan added
