Former Oon & Bazul Partners Launch Dauntless Law Chambers in Singapore

Three partners from Singapore’s Oon & Bazul have departed the firm to establish a new disputes-focused law firm, Dauntless Law Chambers. The move is led by former head of commercial arbitration, Suresh Divyanathan, who will take on the role of managing director at Dauntless Law. Joining him are partners Aaron Leong and Rachel Leong, who will assume the roles of directors. All three had spent over a decade at Oon & Bazul.

Dauntless Law Chambers will specialize in commercial and intellectual property disputes, offering advisory services, arbitration, litigation, and mediation. The firm has launched with five fee-earners, including senior associates Sarah Khan and Nicole Ng. Divyanathan brings extensive experience in international arbitration, particularly in cases involving technology transfer projects, joint ventures, and distributorships. His practice covers both ad hoc and institutional arbitrations under rules such as ICC, SIAC, and UNCITRAL, with contracts governed by various international laws. He also handles commercial litigation in the Singapore High Court.

Aaron Leong specializes in international arbitration and commercial litigation, managing cases across diverse industries and jurisdictions. His expertise includes both ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations under SIAC and ICC Rules, with contracts governed by international laws. Leong has represented clients in major cases involving sectors like pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, shipping, and manufacturing, dealing with issues such as fraud, contract rescission, and ownership disputes.

Rachel Leong’s practice focuses on arbitration and litigation, handling cases related to wrongful termination, fraud, unauthorized fund transfers, and contractual disputes. She has represented clients across industries such as international trade, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, finance, technology, and manufacturing. Her work involves clients from various countries, including Germany, Belgium, Canada, Myanmar, India, Japan, South Korea, and the United States.
