Al Tamimi & Company Names Seven New Partners

Leading Middle Eastern law firm Al Tamimi & Company has announced the promotion of seven new partners as of January 2025. The newly promoted partners are Abubaker Jeeballah, Ali Awad, Dipali Maldonado, Haydar Jawad, Hussain Almatrood, Khushboo Shahdadpuri, and Sabrina Saxena.

Abubaker Jeeballah
joined Al Tamimi & Company in 2019 after working as a legal consultant at a Riyadh-based law firm. His expertise spans corporate and commercial law, regulatory matters, banking, litigation, arbitration, and construction disputes. He has also contributed to drafting laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia.


Ali Awad
has been with the firm since 2002 and specializes in banking and finance. He advises on financial licensing, regulatory compliance, and complex financing transactions. Ali has played a pivotal role in establishing financial institutions regulated by the UAE Central Bank and the Securities and Commodities Authority. He has also assisted government and semi-government entities with financial products and constitutional documentation. Dipali Maldonado, with over 18 years of experience, has been practicing at Al Tamimi &

Company for 13 years. A UAE and English-qualified lawyer, she launched the firm’s private client services and is a key member of its India Desk. Dipali advises family businesses, high- net-worth individuals, and family offices on a broad range of local and international matters. Haydar Jawad, who joined the firm in 2011, has extensive experience in company registration and corporate law. He holds certifications in business associations and international legal training and has served as a judge in the Iraq National Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup Moot Court Competition.

Hussain Almatrood,
a US-trained lawyer, has been with Al Tamimi & Company’s DIFC office since 2012. He works on litigation matters in Arabic and English, handling cases in UAE and DIFC Courts, as well as arbitration proceedings. His areas of expertise include real estate, commercial, and civil disputes, alongside criminal and estate planning matters. Khushboo Shahdadpuri has been an arbitration lawyer at Al Tamimi & Company for seven years. She focuses on international dispute resolution in construction, energy, and infrastructure sectors. Her experience includes arbitration under various international rules, including ICC, SIAC, DIAC, and LCIA.

Sabrina Saxena
, who joined the firm in 2021 after working at Clyde & Co., specializes in employment law across the UAE and Oman. She advises clients on contentious and non- contentious employment matters, including those in the DIFC and ADGM free zones.
