Ron Nobbs Relocates To Stephenson Harwood's Middle East Construction Practice

Ron Nobbs has transitioned from Stephenson Harwood’s London office to its Middle East construction practice as part of the firm's strategic plan to expand its team over the next five years.

With over 30 years of experience in construction infrastructure and engineering projects worldwide, Nobbs has dedicated more than a decade to clients in the Middle East. His extensive portfolio includes major civil, power, waste, oil and gas, and various other large-scale projects, including roads, railways, airports, commercial developments, sports and leisure facilities, and residential schemes. Nobbs joined Stephenson Harwood in June 2012, previously serving as a partner at Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC) from November 2004 to June 2012 and at Pinsent Masons in both London and Hong Kong from September 1989 to November 2004.

Rania Tadros, Managing Partner of the Dubai office, expressed enthusiasm for Nobbs's arrival: “We are thrilled to be welcoming Ron to Dubai. We’ve set an ambitious target to grow our contentious and non-contentious construction offering over the next five years, aiming to establish a multi-partner practice with several additional associate hires as well.”

Nobbs remarked on the current landscape of the construction industry in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region: “It’s an exciting time to be involved in construction in the GCC, with activity increasing year on year. We’re witnessing a rise in foreign investment, further boosting the construction market. The projects are often vast and complex, and that’s where we can add significant value through our decades of experience and deep understanding of the region and industry. We have ambitious plans to enhance our construction capabilities to better support clients on larger projects and disputes.”
