Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has appointed Houston partner Susan Feigin Harris as its US co-head of healthcare. She joins St. Louis partner Stacey Murphy in the leadership role.

Harris represents health systems, hospitals, and medical providers on a range of healthcare regulatory, transactional, government investigations and litigation matters nationwide. She advises on a number of reimbursement, governance, operations, managed care, and compliance needs.

Jeff Cody, the US managing partner at Norton Rose Fulbright remarked, "Harris came to our firm last year with a strong reputation as an outstanding lawyer and leader, and she has far surpassed our high expectations. Her joining Murphy to lead our healthcare team will benefit our lawyers and clients in one of our most highly regarded practices."

While co-leading its healthcare team, Murphy, who serves as the firm's partner-in-charge in St. Louis and Denver, added, "Collaborating with Harris this past year has led to many new client opportunities, and I look forward to working together as leaders of the healthcare team. Our firm has a rich history in healthcare, and I am confident that we can take this practice to new heights."

Harris stated, "What makes Norton Rose Fulbright so special is its collaborative, friendly and sophisticated culture. These values are reflected in how we come together for the benefit of the client and in the quality work we strive to achieve for our clients. I am so pleased to join Murphy in this leadership position to further enhance our healthcare team and its continued growth in this client-focused and collegial culture."

She has been a strategic advisor to children's hospitals, in particular, concerning Medicaid managed care and supplemental funding. Harris also addresses federal and state health policy issues, and works on behalf of clients with state and federal healthcare agencies on Medicare and Medicaid issues, and other government funding and compliance concerns.

Licensed in Texas, she earned her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center and her bachelor's degree in public policy studies and history with honors from Duke University.
