Hong Kong’s Boutique Hugill & Ip Expands Family Law Team with the Addition of Caroline McNally

Hong Kong boutique law firm, Hugill & Ip, has expanded its family law team by bringing in Caroline McNally, who joins from the competing firm, Gall.

With McNally's transition, a total of five family lawyers have departed from Gall to join Hugill & Ip, a group that notably includes partner Kajal Aswani, who had initially joined Gall in 2020 after a stint at Robertsons.

Bringing over 25 years of expertise to her role, McNally focuses on providing counsel on various family matters, covering divorce, financial settlements, nuptial agreements, and all aspects related to children.

McNally spent nearly 11 years at Gall, where she rose to the position of partner in 2014. Before her time at Gall, she held roles at Farrer & Co, Family Law in Partnership, and Manches (now Penningtons Manches Cooper) in London.

With McNally’s inclusion, Hugill & Ip's partner count now stands at nine. The firm had previously welcomed disputes specialist Fiona Chan as a partner earlier this year.
