Adnan Sundra & Low Expands Corporate And Finance Team With Partners Liza Uma And Yong Wee Hoo

Malaysian Law Firm Adnan Sundra & Low (ASL) has bolstered its Corporate Offerings by Welcoming two New Partners: M&A specialist Liza Uma and Banking and Finance expert Yong Wee Hoo.

Uma, formerly a Partner at Local Firm Syed Ibrahim & Co, brings her focus on transactional work, both domestic and cross-border, to ASL. Her track record includes notable deals such as the IPO of Eco World International Berhad, IPrice's restructuring, and the Boustead REIT privatization.

Yong, who previously served as a Partner at Zaid Ibrahim & Co and a Principal Consultant at Konexo, specializes in Debt Capital market transactions, including conventional and Islamic finance. His expertise extends to project financing through Islamic bonds, notably the largest offering for highway construction and Malaysia's inaugural Sukuk issuance based on Shariah Principles of Wakalah Bi Al-Isthithmar for expressway development.

ASL's expansion efforts in 2024 have been marked by the addition of a Three-Partner Intellectual Property, Gaming, and Sports Practice Group from Christopher & Lee Ong.
