She will focus on forging strong relationships with Indian stakeholders on dispute resolution matters
Shania Elias has joined ICC India as Deputy Director for Arbitration and ADR. Based in Delhi, she will operate in coordination with the National Committee.
Elias will focus on forging strong relationships with Indian stakeholders on dispute resolution matters; connecting ICC to Indian businesses; advising on ICC protocol and procedures; promoting ICC’s internationally-recognized services on domestic and international disputes; organizing capacity-building and informative events, and working alongside ICC’s Young Arbitration and ADR Forum representatives in India.
Commenting on her appointment, Tejus Chauhan, ICC’s Regional Director stated, “We are excited to welcome Elias on board. Indian parties continue to be amongst the top 10 nationalities in ICC arbitration. With her experience in international and domestic arbitration, she will play a key role in formulating our growth, strategy in India and advising clients on ICC arbitration protocol.”
A 2019 graduate of the Symbiosis International University, Pune, Maharashtra, for the past two years, Elias was working at DSK Legal as a Senior Associate with a practice area focusing on arbitration, dispute resolution and projects.
