A construction and infrastructure disputes hub will be inaugurated by Herbert Smith Freehills in Kuala Lumpur.
Partner Craig Shepherd, relocated to KL, will head the hub who was with the firm's offices in Hong Kong and Dubai since 1995.
For the firm's energy, infrastructure, technology, media, telecommunications and project clients, the hub aims to provide a outstanding dispute resolution service. Starting from renewables and roads, to data centres and urbanisation it will respond to best infrastructure investment in Asia.
To support the firm's disputes specialists in China, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand, Shepherd is destined to work with newly promoted Singapore disputes partner, Daniel Waldek and a team of eight lawyers and three paralegals in Kuala Lumpur.
