Hogan Lovells forms new global leadership roles

Hogan Lovells has named two new managing partners for growth and industry sectors  respectively, Phoebe Wilkinson and Patrick Ayad

A new managing partner role has been created for growth and industry sectors in Hogan Lovells' global leadership team.

Phoebe Wilkinson, a New York lawyer, has been named global managing partner for growth, responsible for expanding the firm's strategic client relationships, while Patrick Ayad, a Munich-based commercial and regulatory lawyer, has been named global managing partner for industry sectors.

Ina Brock is stepping down from managing partner for clients and industries after six years to focus on her disputes practice in these two new roles.

According to Hogan Lovells CEO Miguel Zaldivar, the appointment of Phoebe and Patrick marks a significant juncture in our clients and industries program. Ina's outstanding leadership and commitment in the last six years is a testament to her achievements."

Since joining the firm in 2013, Wilkinson has worked for legacy firm Chadbourne & Parke, where she spent more than 20 years. Over the years, she has held a number of leadership roles at Hogan Lovells, including head of the firm's New York litigation practice, co-leader of the company's electronics and consumer application sector as well as a member of its global litigation, arbitration, and employment leadership team.

Her new role will take her to the firm's international management committee, which includes the firm's three regional heads and three practice group heads, along with Zaldivar and his deputy.

Almost ten years after a merger between US Company Hogan & Hartson and London firm Lovells, Zaldivar revamped Hogan Lovells' organisational structure in 2020.

Ayad, however, has been with the firm for more than two decades, joining in 2000 after working as a research assistant at Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. In addition to leading the firm's mobility and transportation sector group and strategic operations, agreements, and regulations practice, he is a partner in the firm's global regulatory practice group.

The President of the company said that Patrick's broad experience on commercial and regulatory matters and his leadership of our mobility and transportation sector positions him perfectly to lead our client and industry sector programs in the right direction.
