Former General Counsel of Suzlon Energy Anoop Khatry joins Ultra Tech Cement Ltd. as Chief Legal Officer

Anoop Khatry, the erstwhile General Counsel at Suzlon Energy has joined Ultra Tech Cement Ltd. as its Chief Legal Officer.

Before joining Suzlon, he was working with InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo Airlines) as Associate General Counsel. He has also worked with various multinationals and large listed companies such as Emaar MGF, Bharti Airtel Limited and the Essar Group (with its telecom infrastructure service provisioning company) as well as with the law firm Khaitan & Co. for a period of one year.

Anoop’s experience ranges from handling legal and regulatory aspects of the power and energy, aviation, telecom, telecom infrastructure, infrastructure and the real estate sector to international commercial contracts, multi-jurisdictional transactions including joint ventures, mergers, joint development, private equity, inbound and outbound investments. He has also worked extensively on project finance, banking and finance, capital market transactions, litigation and tax related issues, general corporate advisory work, corporate compliance, internal company policies etc.

He specializes in Mergers and Acquisition, Banking and Finance, leasing and financing of aircraft, capital markets, project finance, corporate advisory, litigation, private equity and operational work.
