Ezekiel Tuma Appointed Managing Partner as Asar Legal Undergoes Leadership Transition

Kuwait's Asar Legal is set to undergo a significant leadership transition, effective 1st November, with key changes in its top management roles.

Ezekiel Tuma, a senior partner specializing in M&A, banking, and finance, will assume the position of managing partner. Tuma, who has been with Asar for 13 years, has been instrumental in handling numerous high-profile mergers during his tenure.

Co-founder Sam Habbas will transition to the role of first chairman after 16 years as managing partner. In his new position, Habbas will oversee the firm’s overall vision and leadership strategy.

Ahmed Barakat, currently the managing partner and head of commercial litigation and arbitration (CLA), will take on the title of senior partner while continuing his responsibilities as head of CLA. His extensive experience of 16 years will support him in this new role.

This leadership reshuffle aims to strengthen the firm's strategic direction and enhance its service offerings.
