AZB & Partners Welcomes Back Sarah Jayne Rufus as Partner in Aviation Law Practice

Sarah Jayne Rufus, an accomplished expert in aviation law, has returned to AZB & Partners as a Partner in the firm's aviation law practice based in Mumbai. Rufus, who graduated from Symbiosis Law School, Pune in 2003, brings with her extensive knowledge and experience in the field to her new role at the firm.

Bringing more than 18 years of experience, Sarah Jayne Rufus is a highly skilled professional in the field of aviation law. Her expertise encompasses a range of areas within the aviation sector, including M&A, securities law, and banking and finance.

Her expertise was honed during her tenure as an Associate General Counsel at IndiGo Airlines, where she worked for eight years. Prior to that, Rufus was associated as a Senior Associate at AZB & Partners for four years between 2006 and 2010. She also had stints with S& R Associates and New Delhi Law Offices.

Zia Mody, Founding & Managing Partner of AZB & Partners welcomed Rufus by saying that she would be a valuable addition to the team.

In approximately two months, Sarah Jayne Rufus becomes the second lateral partner to join AZB & Partners in Mumbai. This follows the recent addition of Ajay Singh Solanki, who previously held the position of head of the labour practice at Nishith Desai Associates before joining AZB & Partners in April.
