Allen & Overy hires Zeeshan Ahmedani to boost its global funds capabilities
He was a partner at Goodwin Procter's private investment funds' practice
Allen & Overy has announced a partnership with Zeeshan Ahmedani in the global fund's practice in Los Angeles. He is the 47th lateral partner hire in the US in the last two years, as the firm's California presence continues to grow following the opening of three offices within a year.
Ahmedani has vast experience in spanning venture capital funds, private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, distressed funds, hybrid funds and Shari'ah-compliant funds. He focuses on advising investment managers and sponsors on the organization and establishment of private investment funds in the US and globally.
He also represents fund sponsors on the establishment of management companies and compensation arrangements, and the US regulatory issues, including investment advisory, and ERISA-related matters.

Ahmedani graduated with a J.D. from the USC Gould School of Law and is admitted to practice in California. Early in his career, he also practiced in London and the Middle East.
