Revlon Appoints David Schwartz as New General Counsel
Revlon Group Holdings has announced the appointment of David Schwartz as its new General Counsel, effective February 12. He succeeds Andrew Kidd, who is departing the company later this month.
Schwartz brings over two decades of experience leading legal affairs for prominent consumer brands. Most recently, he served as General Counsel at Hudson's Bay Company, owner of Saks Fifth Avenue, for nearly seven years. During his tenure, he oversaw a wide range of legal matters, including joint ventures, licensing agreements, and M&A transactions.
At Revlon, Schwartz will assume a similar role, providing legal leadership on various corporate law, intellectual property, compliance, litigation, real estate, and M&A matters. The company boasts a portfolio of iconic brands like Revlon, Elizabeth Arden, Juicy Couture, Elizabeth Taylor, and Britney Spears.
"David's extensive experience across diverse legal areas, combined with his global perspective, makes him a perfect fit to lead our legal team as we drive Revlon's transformation and future growth," said Liz Smith, CEO of Revlon. "We are thrilled to welcome him aboard."
Prior to Hudson's Bay, Schwartz spent 16 years at Toys "R" Us, holding the position of General Counsel for over a decade. He also has experience as a corporate partner at Anderson Kill & Olick.
