On Monday, Madison International Realty announced the appointment of Mark Schein as its new Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for the private equity firm.
Madison stated in a press release that Schein, who joins from Värde Partners, will concentrate solely on advancing Madison's strategic platform initiatives, as well as expanding relationships, corporate best practices, and processes.
After serving as Chief Compliance Officer for 15 years at York Capital Management, the newly appointed executive spent two and a half years as the Global Chief Compliance Officer at Värde Partners.
Mark Schein holds a law degree from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor's in Economics and American Studies from Williams College.
He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx before transitioning to the New York Stock Exchange's enforcement division. Afterward, he moved into financial compliance roles at Schwab Capital Markets, where he served as the Director of Anti-Money Laundering Compliance, and US Trust Company, where he acted as the Director of Broker Dealer Compliance.
In a statement, Ronald Dickerman, the Founder and President of Madison, expressed that Schein's expertise, proficiency, and industry connections will be priceless as Madison expands its platform and investment opportunities.
“I believe our firm’s potential for growth is tremendous. Mark’s ability to assist in business optimization will guide our strategic growth,” Dickerman said.
