The group will bring diverse experience, skills and insights to the practices

Global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has announced the appointment of a number of new partners with effect from 1 May 2023.

The 30 partners are drawn from the firm’s market-leading practices. It reflects the breadth and depth of the firm’s global expertise.

For the MENA region, counsel Amani Khalifa has been named as a partner in the firm’s dispute resolution practice in Dubai and Riyadh.

An arbitration specialist in infrastructure disputes, she handles large, complex construction disputes relating to projects in Saudi Arabia and throughout the MENA region, with an emphasis on energy and infrastructure sectors.

Khalifa is a judge of the Bahrain Court of Cassation seconded to the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution.

She is an arbitrator on the basketball arbitral tribunal, an independent tribunal recognized by FIBA and an anticorruption hearing officer of the Tennis Integrity Unit.
