Dentons Link Legal Advised Rusal IPJSC on Acquisition of 50% Stake in Pioneer Aluminium Industries Limited

Dentons Link Legal advised Rusal IPJSC, the largest aluminium producer outside of China, on its proposed acquisition of a 50% stake in Pioneer Aluminium Industries Limited from the Pioneer Group and KCap Group.

The acquisition is structured in three stages, with the first tranche involving Rusal IPJSC acquiring 26% for USD 243.75 million.

Pioneer Aluminium Industries owns and operates a metallurgical-grade alumina refinery in Andhra Pradesh, India, with a production capacity of 1.5 million tonnes per annum. Dentons Link Legal acted as the lead Indian transaction counsel on the deal.
