DLA Piper Advised Solengy in Securing US$13.5 Million for Solar Investment Projects
DLA Piper advised Solengy Haiti S.A. (Solengy), a leading solar energy company, in securing US$13.5 million in financing from IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, and IDB Invest, the private sector arm of the Inter-American Development Bank.
This investment aims to support the installation of 10 MWp of solar PV and 20 MWh of storage in Haiti, enhancing energy reliability and promoting distributed generation in the market. The initiative is expected to provide businesses with cost-effective energy solutions, improving economic competitiveness and sustainability in a country facing ongoing energy challenges.
