Sameet Gambhir Takes Helm As Senior VP & Global Head – Legal At UFlex
UFlex Limited, India's largest multinational flexible packaging and solutions company, has appointed Sameet Gambhir as the Senior Vice President & Global Head - Legal. Gambhir brings a wealth of experience in legal, compliance, and risk management to his new role, fortifying UFlex’s legal operations.
With nearly 34 years of experience, Sameet Gambhir is renowned for his expertise in Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), Litigation, Contracting, Corporate Restructuring, Labor Laws, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), and Corporate Secretarial duties. His most recent position was Vice President - Corporate Law at DCM Shriram Ltd, where he led significant legal initiatives. Gambhir has also held prominent roles at KPMG India, Hill & Associates, Schneider Electric India, and Mayar India Ltd.
Gambhir's contributions have been widely acknowledged within the legal community. He has received numerous awards and recognitions over the years, Legal Era recognized him as Compliance Lawyer of the Year, Distinguished Legal Minds, and included him among India’s Finest GCs.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Gambhir actively participates in various industry and governmental committees. He holds the role of Co-Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Committee at the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI). He serves as a member of the Sub-Committee on Indian Standards for ESG, formed by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, and is also part of the Working Group on Ease of Doing Business (EODB) under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Furthermore, he contributes as a member of the National Committee on Legal Affairs at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and holds positions in the National Councils for Corporate Affairs, Company Law, Corporate Governance, Legal Affairs, and Regulatory Affairs at the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM). Additionally, he serves on the Board of Study at GD Goenka Law School and is actively involved in the ESG Committee of the Delhi Management Association (DMA).
He contributes academically as a visiting faculty member and speaker at esteemed institutions including IMT Ghaziabad, IMI New Delhi, LBSIM New Delhi, and NDIM New Delhi, in addition to participating in various programs organized by other forums.
