Perkins Coie gains Kluk Farber Law, New York start-up advisory boutique

In an effort to grow its emerging companies practice, US law firm Perkins Coie attains New York City boutique Kluk Farber Law, which specializes in representing start-ups.

The partners Agatha Kluk, Sonia Farber and Eitan Hoenig are among the 12 lawyers and 6 business experts who will be joining the firm as a result of the deal. They will be situated in the new start-up and emerging companies centre for Perkins Coie in New York's Flatiron District, where they will oversee the firm's venture capital and emerging companies' practices. Consulting on corporate strategy, VC investments and exits are the common areas of expertise for the Kluk Farber group.

It further asserts Perkins Coie's status as a top technology company in New York and across the country, according to Brian Eiting, co-chair of the firm's corporate law group. A new emerging enterprise practice is now available in our New York office thanks to Agatha, Sonia, Eitan and the entire team, who are a wonderful fit for Perkins Coie's culture, clientele and strategic strategy.

Since inception in 2017, Kluk Farber Law was led by partners Agatha Kluk and Sonia Farber. Both of them were formerly Debevoise & Plimpton associates. In 2020, Hoenig came to Kluk Farber to lend his knowledge in transactions and M&A to the firm. Prior to 2018, between 2011 and 2018, he was employed by Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz.

Attorney at Law, Julio Mojica and Associates Nike Anders, Lauren Capobianco, Michael Greenblatt, Zachary Leibowitz, Michelle Nguyen, and Alexander Porro round out the group. Stella Silverstein joins Perkins Coie as an IP counsel, while Valdemar Washington joins as a practicing attorney.

Collaboration rooms, conference rooms, and a location for live and virtual forums are all located in Perkins Coie's brand-new start-up facility at 41 Madison Avenue. Starting in the first week of December, the Kluk Farber staff will call the facility their workplace.

In recent months, four seasoned venture capital and emerging company partners have been added, and now Kluk Farber has been acquired. Chris Grogan, who worked in-house at financial technology start-up Stealth before re-joining in Los Angeles in August, and Steve Davis, who formerly worked at Davis Wright Tremaine in Portland, were among those who have returned.
