Oon & Bazul Expands Dispute Resolution Practice with Elan Krishna's Addition
Elan Krishna, previously a partner at Cavenagh Law, the Singapore Formal Law Alliance (FLA) firm of Clifford Chance, has joined Oon & Bazul to bolster its dispute resolution practice.
With a specialization in international arbitration, Krishna is adept at managing high-value and complex cases, particularly those involving allegations of fraud, corruption, and illegality.
His expertise extends to disputes within the aviation and logistics sectors. Currently, Krishna is a board member of the ICDR's Young & International Group and serves as a committee member for the Law Society of Singapore's International Relations Committee. He has been with Clifford Chance and Cavenagh Law since 2012, following the start of his career at Drew & Napier, a Big Four firm.
Krishna's appointment aligns with Oon & Bazul's recent uptick in high-value instructions, driven by escalating geopolitical tensions that have led to more intricate commercial disputes. “Elan's extensive experience in high-value, complex disputes and international arbitration will be a strong complement to our team,” said Bazul Ashhab, managing partner and head of the dispute resolution practice at Oon & Bazul, in a statement. “His arrival adds to the number of our senior lawyers, as we continue delivering the exceptional quality of work our clients expect.”
With Krishna's addition, Oon & Bazul's partnership now consists of 18 partners. Recently, the firm also welcomed restructuring and insolvency expert Lye Yu Min as a partner from Rajah & Tann, where he served as a senior associate.
