Chandhiok & Mahajan Strengthens Leadership With Three Partner Promotions

Chandhiok & Mahajan, Advocates and Solicitors, has announced the promotion of Mahima Singh from the Restructuring & Insolvency practice, Mehul Parti from the Disputes practice, and Mitesh Shah from the Corporate practice to its partnership, effective 1 June 2024.

This round of promotions increases the firm's total number of partners to 15, with 40% of them being women.

Mahima Singh

Mahima Singh, a prominent member of the Restructuring and Insolvency team, has been with Chandhiok & Mahajan for nearly eight years. Based in the New Delhi office, Singh has been a pivotal figure in advising creditors, debtors, resolution professionals, liquidators, and investors on a wide array of debt restructuring, resolution, and liquidation issues under Indian law. Her impressive portfolio includes representing clients before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), High Courts, and the Supreme Court of India.

Singh's notable client list features the resolution professionals of Trimax IT, Ricoh, Patna Highway, Sarga Hotel, and Future Enterprises, as well as the liquidators of Innoventive, HDO, Provogue, Chowgule Group, and Refex Group. She is an active member of INSOL International, INSOL India, and the India Network of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC - India). Furthermore, she has been admitted to the prestigious NextGen Leadership Program of the International Insolvency Institute.

Mehul Parti

Mehul Parti has been a vital part of Chandhiok & Mahajan’s Dispute Resolution and Regulatory Litigation team for the past nine years. Based in New Delhi, Parti's expertise encompasses representing and advising clients from various sectors including telecom, automobile, infrastructure, real estate, renewable energy, FMCG, and housing finance. His regulatory litigation experience spans white-collar crimes, competition, electricity, environment, and telecom matters.

Parti has represented leading companies such as HP, Honda, Hyundai, Jaypee, Indus Towers, Emaar, Sembcorp, Bharti Realty, and Brookfield in various courts and tribunals across India.

Mitesh Shah

Mitesh Shah, with over 16 years of experience, is based at the firm’s Mumbai office. His extensive practice in corporate and commercial laws includes advising on mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, commercial contracts, and general corporate advisory. Shah has worked with clients across multiple industry verticals including manufacturing, services, hospitality, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, startups, fintech, food business, and logistics.
