Ashurst develops corporate practice in Shanghai

Yuan Yan, ex-counsel of Clifford Chance, an expert in corporate transactions, was appointed as a partner by UK firm, Ashurst for its Shanghai office

Based on cross-border M&A transactions, including minority/growth capital investments, joint ventures and control acquisitions, Yuan instructs private equity and corporate clients in countries and regions like China, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North and South America.

Yuan's career spans overall 14 years with Clifford Chance, which includes six years working in New York office of the firm.

Ashurst's Shanghai office now has two partners including Yuan.
