Bengaluru-based litigation chamber Aishwarya Ananth Kumar and Partners has merged with Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India to strengthen the firm's disputes practice in the city.

Aishwarya Ananth Kumar, an advocate with more than 12 years of experience appearing before the High Court of Karnataka, NCLT Bengaluru, and several other regional courts, possesses a profound understanding of the local legal environment and its nuances.

Serving as a standing counsel for various state governmental departments and bodies, she has spearheaded intricate and high-stakes litigations across Karnataka. Specifically, her representation has been instrumental for entities such as the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board, Karnataka Slum Development Board, Bangalore Development Authority, and Bangalore Waste Water and Sewerage Board.

With a background in Tier-1 law firms, Aishwarya has gained significant experience in handling corporate commercial litigations, arbitrations, shareholder and investor disputes, as well as court-ordered mergers and demergers. She continues to handle matters of insolvency and restructuring before the NCLT Bengaluru Bench for large private entities.

Additionally, Aishwarya's involvement in various policy framing committees of the government of Karnataka, including her role as the only woman member in the 13-member expert committee that framed the comprehensive Karnataka Youth Policy in 2021, demonstrates her diverse expertise and leadership in legal matters.

She has joined Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India as a Dispute Resolution Partner along with her team.

Commenting on the merger, Managing Partner Harry Chawla of Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India remarked, “With this merger, opening of the Chennai office and addition of a new team in Hyderabad, Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India now has a very prominent presence in South India and has paved the way for expanding its operations in this region”.
