Khaitan & Co Advised Brookfield India Real Estate On Its Proposed Acquisition Of Stake In Rostrum Realty For ₹60,000 Million

Khaitan & Co advised Brookfield India Real Estate Trust regarding its proposed acquisition of a 50% stake in Rostrum Realty. This joint venture, currently held by Bharti Group and Brookfield Asset Management, is valued at INR 60,000 million.

Following this acquisition, BIRET and Brookfield will jointly possess four Grade A properties covering a total area of 3.3 million square feet spread across New Delhi, Gurugram, and Ludhiana.

The payment will be fulfilled through the allocation of units of BIRET. Following the allocation, Bharti will retain a stake of 8.53%, positioning it as the second-largest unitholder in BIRET.

The transaction was spearheaded by Partners Aakash Choubey, Deepak Jodhani, and Gautam Suseel, along with Principal Associate Sushmita Ravi, Senior Associates Divyansh Joshi and Saranya Mishra, and Associate Anadi Saxena, Shilpa Shankar.

They received assistance from Partners Avnish Sharma and Kshitij Bishnoi on Real Estate-Related aspects, Divya Chaturvedi, Sneha Janakiraman, and Counsel Saransh Shaw on Litigation, and Partner Anisha Chand on Competition Law.
