Led by the litigation boutique, Calfo Eakes's 14 lawyers, Morgan Lewis & Bockius, US firm, launches in Seattle
The noticeable trial lawyers, Patty Eakes and Angelo Calfo, join as the new partners and will lead the Seattle office. Adding on 19 lawyers supplemented by present Morgan Lewis attorneys, already working distantly in Seattle, the new office in all will be home of a team of 34.
With a range of commercial and intellectual property litigation, employment disputes and white collar criminal defence and investigation matters, the combined team will support the firm's Pacific Northwest client base.

Alicia Cullen, Damon Elder, Harold Malkin and Molly Terwilliger join as partners adding up Eakes and Calfo, four other Calfo Eakes litigators. Tyler Weaver and Gabe Reilly-Bates join as counsel.
Working distantly in Seattle, the five prevailing Morgan Lewis partners since the pandemic are IP associates David Bernstein and Matthew Walker, corporate transactions associate Chris Ronne, senior tax attorney Tony Cipriano and employee benefits associate Claire Rowland.

Since past decade, Eakes and Calfo have been running their boutique firm, previously worked together at Yarmuth Wilson Calfo. Eakes spent 16 years at the King County Prosecutor's Office as a senior deputy prosecuting attorney, prior to her career in private practice. Between 1989 and 1997, Calfo also spent time outside private practice as an assistant US attorney. In 1986, he started his career at Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco.
Adding to its five offices in California, the Seattle office is Morgan Lewis's sixth West Coast location.
Fennemore, US national firm, continued its West Coast expansion earlier in June 2022 agreeing a merger with Northern California firm Wendel Rosen.
