The UK-headquartered global law firm Clyde & Co has announced its expansion to the Southwestern region of the US with the opening of three new offices following the arrival of a team of insurance lawyers from Foran Glennon Palandech Ponzi & Rudloff.
The new offices of Clyde & Co are in Phoenix, Denver and Las Vegas.
The team that moved from Foran Glennon is led by Partner Amy Samberg. Her team of six senior counsels include Amy Stein in Phoenix; Jerri Wettestad, Kevin Hoskins and Tamara Jordan in Denver; Dylan Todd in Las Vegas; and Jefferson Patten, who will be based in Clyde & Co's existing Chicago office. Samberg will be based across all three Southwestern offices.
Clyde & Co, which first opened its office in New York in 2006, has increased its count of offices in the US to 12, including the new offices in Phoenix, Denver and Las Vegas.
"The opening of these three offices represents a significant step in our aim to build the leading national US insurance practice. We have long sought a presence in this growing region to ensure we can serve our clients where they need us and with Amy and her team we're confident we're bringing on board the best insurance team in the region," Matthew Kelsall, Clyde & Co's CEO, said.
Samberg's team specialises in advising insurers on coverage and bad faith matters across general, professional and financial insurance lines with a particular focus on first-party property.
Before joining Foran Glennon five years ago, Samberg was associated with Snell & Wilmer for almost two decades, covering the same Southwestern region.
"Opening in the Southwest provides us with enhanced strength in what is a key growth market for the insurance industry and many of our largest insurance clients. From a national perspective, Amy and her team's practice complement the existing insurance expertise we have across the US," Eileen King Bower, chair of Clyde & Co's North American insurance strategy group, said.
