Alfred Lim, the co-founder of Singapore boutique Fullerton Law Chambers has exited the firm along with associate director Jamie Lye to start his own firm Meritus Law.

He co-founded Fullerton Law in 2018 along with Edmund Eng. His departure leaves the firm with two directors, Eng and Wei Chern Tham, who joined from Duane Morris & Selvam in 2019.

Meritus will offer services related to litigation, dispute resolution, arbitration, infrastructure and construction, wealth planning and family law, real estate, management corporation strata title, workplace safety and regulatory offenses, and aviation financing, and compliance.

While Lim will be the managing director, Lye will be the director at Meritus. The firm plans to add three more lawyers by this year-end.

Lim specializes in commercial litigation with a focus on construction and engineering and represents clients before arbitral tribunals, the Supreme Court, and the state courts in Singapore.

His recent work includes matters involving breach of construction contracts, and adjudication under the Security of Payment Act. Lim has earlier worked with Quahe Woo & Palmer, Fortis Law, and WongPartnership.
