Al Tamini & Company has announced that Nick Watson and Suhail Mirza have joined as partners in the firm's corporate commercial practice. Watson is also the regional head of the department.

Though based at the Dubai office, his role will include working with all corporate commercial partners across each of Al Tamimi & Company's locations.

On the other hand, Mirza has been practicing in the UAE for over 15 years specializing in M&A, Infrastructure and technology (including fintech digital payment and e-commerce) transactions.

The appointments emphasize the value that the firm places on delivering the best knowledge, experience, and expertise to its clients across the region.

Commenting on the new hires, Samer Qudah, the managing partner at Al Tamimi & Company said, "The corporate commercial practice is built on our knowledge and depth of understanding the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) legal and regulatory landscape. With their experience, Watson and Mirza will add significant value to the team and the firm."

He added, "Our corporate commercial practice has been growing over the years and boasts a one-of-a-kind footprint across the region's transactional markets. We wanted to bring on board experts with exposure to the region, and in Watson, we found the right person to lead our practice. Along with Mirza and other 17 experienced corporate commercial partners, the team will add more value and deepen our existing offer and enable us to meet our commitment to the success of our clients".

Watson said, "The firm's reputation is undisputable as a leader across the entire Middle East and North Africa, and this practice area is a cornerstone for the firm. We want to continue to grow the reputation of the corporate commercial practice across the MENA region, and ensure our clients have access to leading practitioners and a strong knowledge base that offers the optimum solutions. I look forward to working with my fellow partners and colleagues across our offices to provide clients with excellent legal services and intelligence that is synonymous with Al Tamimi & Company."

Meanwhile, Mirza commented, "Having been in the region since 2008, I have come to admire the full-service offering that Al Tamimi & Company has to offer. Increasingly, clients in the region require a depth of experience and expertise that only a few law firms can offer on a regional basis. With its footprint of offices across the MENA region, I am delighted to be part of a law firm that can provide a seamless integrated service in all the key regional markets."
