Agilent Technologies Elects Bret DiMarco As Senior Vice President And Chief Legal Officer

Until recently, he was serving as a CLO at Pendo.io, a leading global venture-backed software-as-a-service company

Agilent Technologies has chosen Bret DiMarco as a Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer. He will also serve as a Corporate Secretary.

Speaking on the development, Padraig McDonnell, the president and CEO at Agilent commented, “DiMarco is another outstanding addition to our leadership team. His range of tactical and strategic experience across various industries will be an asset as our company becomes even more customer-focused and nimble to continue winning in the marketplace and add value to customers and shareholders.”

Until recently, DiMarco served as CLO of Pendo.io. Before that, he was executive vice president, CLO, and corporate secretary in Coherent Inc, a multinational, and one of the world’s largest laser manufacturers. He handled the company’s intellectual property program and global trade compliance. After leading the process for the sale and closing of the company’s merger with II-VI Incorporated, he served as a special adviser to the company’s president during the transition period.

DiMarco was an associate and member of the international law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, focusing on corporate and securities law, corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions.

A graduate of the University of Southern California Law School, he received the degree from the University of California, Irvine.

He served on multiple Nasdaq Councils and is currently the chair of the Nasdaq Exchange Nominating Committee. Since 2004, he has been an adjunct assistant professor of law at the University of California Law School, San Francisco.
