Phoenix Legal Adds Sumit Sinha to Corporate Practice as Partner

Sumit Sinha has become a Partner at Phoenix Legal, stationed at the firm's New Delhi office. In this capacity, he will contribute his expertise to the firm's General Corporate, M&A, Private Equity, and Venture Capital practice areas.

Sumit graduated from Symbiosis Law College, Pune in the year 2006.

Sumit's appointment at Phoenix Legal is accompanied by a team comprising two legal professionals: Ashima Dewan, in the role of Associate Partner, and Sukanya Bhattacharya, holding the position of Senior Associate.

With an impressive tenure of nearly 17 years, Sumit brings a wealth of experience to his role. His practice spans a diverse range of areas, encompassing mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital investments, corporate restructuring and reorganisations, corporate investigations, white-collar crimes, and a spectrum of general corporate and commercial transactions.

Sumit's advisory scope extends to both domestic and international clients, private equity funds, hedge funds, banks, financial institutions, and various business entities spanning diverse sectors. His extensive transactional background is underscored by his active participation in substantial M&A and private equity transactions.

Before becoming part of Phoenix Legal, Sumit served as a Partner at DMD Advocates for six years. He had stints with some of the top Indian law firms during his 17-year-long legal journey as he held positions at renowned law firms such as Trilegal, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, and JSA.
