Kirkland Extends To Introduce Rachel L. Lichman as New Debt Financing Partner
Rachel L. Lichman joins Kirkland and Ellis as the partner in the Debt Finance Group. Ms. Lichman is a lawyer and a member of the American College of Investment Counsel. She has been recognised as a Texas Super Lawyer and the team is looking forward to growing and maintaining the top position worldwide.
Kirkland & Ellis has announced the entry of the new partner Rachel L. Lichman to the office at Houston, in the Debt Finance Practice Group.
Ms. Lichman will be in charge of the financial institutions, issuers and borrowers and private equity funds. Also, she will be handling the institutional investors related to bank or acquisition financing, debts, whether subordinate or senior, including asset and reserve-based financing, bridge loans, term loans and working capital credit facilities.
She will be working with the high yield debt-offering clients as counsel, for private placements and all kind of debt financing, restructuring and workouts, such as the financing of debtor-in-possession and transactions relevant to liability management.
The team Kirkland is delighted to welcome Ms. Lichman, which reflects in the words of the Chairman of Executive Committee, Mr Jon A. Ballis, who mentioned her as a rising star, who will be beneficial for the debt finance team, focussing on the energy sector. The partner in the debt finance group in the Houston office, Will Bros, also claimed that she possesses the capability to rightly approach the complex matters in debt financing, using the commercial approach and technical skills.
Previously, in the year 2017 and 2018, Ms. Lichman has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer - Rising Star, and she is a member of the American College of Investment Counsel. She completed her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and obtained a bachelor's degree from Duke University. Before joining Kirkland, she was a partner with Baker Botts.
