JSA boosts its Corporate Practice with the joining of former OYO Vice President Varun Sehgal as Partner

Erstwhile Vice President Legal at OYO, Varun Sehgal has joined J. Sagar Associates as a Partner to further boost the firm's corporate practice and will be based out of the firm's Mumbai office.

Varun started his career with the erstwhile Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co. where he worked for over 6 years. Later he had a brief stint with the Japanese law firm – Anderson Mori & Tomotsune.

Later he has also worked with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co and then with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as Partner to be part of its Japan desk in the corporate practice group.

Varun joined OYO in October 2021 and focussed on transaction management (domestic and international M&A), managing compliances and restructuring of the debt facilities of the OYO group and handling general corporate and regulatory matters. He was also part of its global legal and compliance team.

Having started his career in the year 2007, Varun has over 16 years of professional experience in Corporate and M&A practice with a focus on strategic acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, and commercial agreements.

He is an alumnus of National Law University, Jodhpur.
