Ishita Sharan has joined the National Asset Reconstruction Co Ltd as Head of the Legal department.
She has over 20 years of experience in the acquisition and resolution of stressed assets, ensuring maximization of value for all stakeholders through various mechanisms, including restructuring, settlement and enforcement under the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002.
Sharan has substantial experience in legal due diligence for the acquisition of a single asset/portfolio of distressed corporate, SME & retail (secured) assets, including debt aggregation, critical to protect investor interest and mitigate risk with respect to stressed asset investments.
A 2002 graduate of the ILS Law College, she was earlier the head-legal of Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Limited for nearly four years. Prior to that, she held leadership positions in ARCIL, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and IFCI.
