Will Rosen has joined Bain Capital US private equity firm in senior position of its legal team. He is an experienced private equity lawyer and has joined as its European General Counsel following a 12-month secondment.
According to Ropes spokesperson, "We are grateful to him for all his devotion and services to Ropes & Gray. Even if we will miss him at the firm, yet look ahead to carry on working with Will confidentially at Bain Capital, our client."
Rosen has counselled Bain Capital on several matters while at Ropes & Gray and is noted for his work handling big-ticket deals by Chambers and the Legal 500. It includes controlling stake in MKM the UK's largest independent builders' merchant and the acquisition of TI Automotive, purchase.
Rosen had served as Ropes' sole London managing partner since 2020 but even before that in 2018, he was appointed to co-lead the London office alongside Mike Goetz.
Linford Coates – Deputy General Counsel of private equity Europe will work closely with Rosen at Bain.
