Andrew Blacoe, a lawyer in Tokyo, has been named as managing partner for North Asia by renowned global legal firm Herbert Smith Freehills.
Andrew has been in practice in London, Sydney and Tokyo since 2013 and is also the head of corporate for North Asia. He has a great deal of expertise in advising local customers on international energy, infrastructure, and resource investments and projects.
David Gilmore, a partner, continues in his position as head of disputes for North Asia, based in Tokyo, while Andrew takes over as managing partner.
