Peter Armstrong joins DLA Piper as Partner in Tokyo
Peter Armstrong has joined DLA Piper as a partner in their Tokyo office. He brings expertise in projects and energy to the firm, having previously worked at Nishimura & Asahi in Japan.
With over 14 years of experience in cross-border transactions, joint ventures, and projects, Armstrong specialises in advising on renewable energy projects and has a focus on onshore and offshore wind power, solar, biomass, and geothermal power projects. He works with both Japanese and global entities and has experience advising on projects both in Japan and abroad.
Armstrong was at N&A in Tokyo for more than four years, becoming a foreign law partner in 2020.
Previously, he worked for another Japanese Big Five firm, Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu, for more than seven years. Earlier in his career, he was at Baker McKenzie and Canadian firm Fasken.
The addition of Armstrong has taken the number of DLA Piper partners in Tokyo to six.
