King & Spalding Strengthens London Presence with Employment Partner Tessa Cranfield
King & Spalding made a significant announcement on January 11, revealing the addition of international employment lawyer Tessa Cranfield to the firm's ranks. Cranfield has joined as a partner in the Global Human Capital and Compliance Practice. Her base of operations within the firm is set to be the London office.
In her advisory role, Cranfield provides counsel to both public and private clients, guiding them through the entire spectrum of UK and international employment law matters. Her expertise spans the complete life cycle of employment-related issues. Notably, Cranfield has been instrumental in representing clients in various industry sectors, with a distinct emphasis on regions such as Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
“Tessa is a very talented lawyer, and we are excited to welcome her to the team,” said Darren Gardner, head of the firm’s Global Human Capital and Compliance practice. “Our team knows Tessa very well, and we have worked alongside her for many years. She will fit in seamlessly and add another critical skillset to our global practice.”
Tom Sprange KC, the managing partner of the firm's London office, expressed excitement about commencing 2024 with the addition of Cranfield, a highly esteemed international employment partner, to their practice in London.
“The expansion of our Global Human Capital and Compliance practice will help us better serve our clients who increasingly require sophisticated multi-country employment law advice to achieve their commercial goals,” Tom Sprange KC stated.
Cranfield has joined the organisation after serving at Seyfarth Shaw's London office. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Oxford and earned her PLC from Nottingham Law School.
“I am excited to join King & Spalding and to be part of its growing London office and market-leading Global Human Capital and Compliance team,” said Cranfield.
“It’s an extra incentive for me to make this move that I will be reuniting with many of my former colleagues whom I greatly respect and enjoy collaborating with. I expect to hit the ground running,” Cranfield added.
