Elon Musk’s Tesla Seeks Legal Counsel To Introduce EVs In India
It is pursuing to certify and formalize Model Y and Model 3 electric cars in the region
American multinational automotive and clean energy company, Tesla is expanding its operations in India by seeking legal counsel to support its business activities in the Asia Pacific Region.
The counsel will advise, manage and review the company’s legal, regulatory and compliance matters, including consumer protection and data privacy issues.
He will analyze lease agreements for service centers, retail locations, and supercharger stations, motor vehicle sales contract and warranty agreements, general commercial and labor contracts and employment law issues.
Ricky Li, the deputy general counsel at Tesla stated, “We're looking to hire a lawyer for our operations in India, someone who is willing to get completely immersed with every part of the business operations and grows with the team as a legal business partner."
Recently, Elon Musk’s Tesla initiated the certification process for Model Y and Model 3 electric cars in India. Approval is essential for vehicles to be sold in the country.
