White & Case represented Masdar in €1.6 Billion Joint Venture with Iberdrola Group
White & Case LLP, a renowned global law firm, provided legal counsel to Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), a leading renewable energy firm in the UAE, regarding its joint venture with Iberdrola Group. Iberdrola Group, an international energy company based in Spain, is actively involved in electric power generation, transmission, and distribution.
The two firms have joined forces to establish a joint venture aimed at developing and operating project 'Baltic Eagle,' a substantial 476 MW offshore wind farm situated in the German Baltic Sea. The project holds an estimated value of around €1.6 billion. As part of this arrangement, Iberdrola has divested a 49 per cent stake in the existing project company to Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar).
