Sheppard Mullin's Corporate practice has advised Snak King, a leading producer of co-manufactured and private-label salty snacks in the U.S., on its investment by private equity firm Falfurrias Management Partners.
The investment is set to enhance Snak King's operations with additional food industry expertise and insights. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1978, Snak King started as a small pork rind co-manufacturer in a 1,200-square-foot factory in Los Angeles. The company has since expanded significantly and now produces some of the most popular snack brands, including El Sabroso, The Whole Earth, Granny Goose, and Jensen's Orchard.
The Sheppard Mullin team handling the transaction was led by Partners Jennifer Lee, Stephen LaSala, and Larry Braun, with support from Partners Michael Leake and Frank Dworak, and Associates Karen Shilyan and David Gao.
