Freshfields Advised PSP Investments in Sale of Minority Stake in Angel Trains to Arjun Infrastructure Partners

Freshfields is providing advisory services to PSP Investments on the sale of a 10 per cent stake in Angel Trains to Arjun Infrastructure Partners. The transaction is being facilitated through an investment vehicle managed by Arjun.

PSP Investments, a prominent Canadian pension investor with net assets under management value of C$29.4 billion in infrastructure holdings, will retain the majority shareholding in Angel Trains, with a stake of 64.25 per cent.

Angel Trains is the largest rolling stock company in the UK, catering to the passenger rail sector with a diverse fleet of approximately 4,400 vehicles, with the majority being electric multiple units.

Leading the advisory team from Freshfields is partner Richard Johnson, who is supported by senior associate George Milne and associate Alex Shoferpoor. The team also includes partners Richard Thexton, Helen Buchanan, Deirdre Trapp, Jenny McIvor, Andrew Murphy, and James Smethurst.
